Volunteer Manager

Since the pandemic, I have been working full time from home managing a team of around 80 volunteers during the crisis. My role completely changed overnight to organising food parcels, shopping, medicine collections and telephone support volunteers.

I am also a single parent to Maya age 10. I am also trying to homeschool. This artwork was made by Maya on 5th May 2020. I think it shows how children’s mental health has been affected by the pandemic, and how they’ve had their own internal struggles to deal with during lockdown. The piece is called ‘Whispers’.
